Day 10: Waiting For God Alone

“My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭62:5-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

⚫️⚫️⚫️

We live in a world where almost every other thing in this world moves us to action where we assume it’s from God whereas we fail to actually wait on God. Even if what you seek to pursue is a good and noble act, failing to wait on God, where our hope is on Him, we are destined to fail. Truth of the matter is, when we have our hope in other things other than Christ, we are bound to find ourselves hopeless and defeated as those things do not have the strength to sustain us.

⚫️⚫️⚫️

It is in silence where we can hear God’s voice clearly but then also at the same time we need to know His voice. If indeed He is your rock and salvation, your fortress, even in the face of the toughest struggles it is possible to wait on God in silence. When your hope is in Him, it is possible for your soul to be at peace while you wait upon the Lord. This only happens if you wait on Him and your hopes and expectations are in Him alone. As your rock, He will keep you stable where falling or being shaken is something that cannot happen. As your salvation, your life is more than protected, it is in His hands and it is in His hands where there is no need to worry.
Prayer:

Father, my hope is in You, help me to wait on You even when circumstances are pushing me to move. You are are my strength and fortress and in You I cannot and will not be shaken. All that I am I give to you. Amen
