Day 48: Blessed In Patience

Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him” Isaiah 30:18 NKJV.

God’s patience for us is truly undeserved. To imagine that despite our sinful ways and disobedience to Him, He is waiting to be gracious to us, where His mercy is extended to us as we exalt Him. A God of justice, showing us such great and undeserved mercy. It cannot get better than that, yet we find ourselves getting swallowed by this entitlement cancer that drives us to a point of lack of patience. Without patience, we can miss out on a lot. Grace and mercy are some of those things we can miss. If we truly believe in justice being served at all times, then we also do not deserve His grace and mercy let alone deserving to say and exalt Him. There are plenty of blessings in waiting on the Lord, more than what we initially expected. We are constantly getting more than we bargained for and it is all because His love for us results in us receiving more grace and mercy instead of getting the justice we truly deserve.

Father, thank You for Your patience, Your mercy and Your grace. Without it I would not be the individual I am today and I will constantly praise and exalt You as I wait on Your time. Amen
