Day 42:In Love

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us” 1 John 4:18-19 NKJV.

If ever for a moment you ever thought that your love for God comes from your own doing, then you need to get down on your knees and repent. We are able to love Him because He loved us first and He showed us what love is. Where once we were fearful about losing our lives and our possessions, we now find ourselves living in a place of no fear, with nothing but His peace. This fear that we had was as a result of the sin that lived through us, controlling and manipulating us. Now because He gave us His love, of which we need to make the conscience decision of accepting, we live free from love because sin and death have no power or control over our lives. Where there is fear, it is evidence that somewhere in our lives, we are not right with God, because where His love is there is no fear, because in Him there is no torment. Apart from Him the torment never ceases, it goes on for eternity with no rest. Indeed we love Him because He loved us first, had that not been the case, we would not know what love is. The world cannot teach nor give you true, unconditional love as it is under deception, consumed by hatred. We love because He loved first and there is truly no other explanation to that.

Father, thank You for Your love because without it I would not know how to love and fear would have tormented me to the grave. Continue to teach me how to love like You that I may never live in fear of anything for the rest of my days. Amen
